Art Classes

Art Program

A2Z has launched a new comprehensive Art class since the beginning of the year, as much as we would like to encourage creativity, we also focus on strong drawing foundations such as sketching and shading.  Our Art program will allow our students to explore and express their creativity as well as build their confidence and identity.

Students will be encouraged explore and use a range of multimedia and theme, such as sketching still life, landscape, animals, portrait drawing, animation and illustration skills. Students will be using a range of medium including and not limited to pencil sketching, charcoal, coloured pencil, watercolour, oil pastel, soft pastel, paint, clay and other craft materials that will help them express their artwork.

Art is a powerful universal language that enables people to communicate at an emotional level. Learning of the art is not simply about learning how to draw, it is about building confidence, appreciating culture, history and the ability to express themselves through their artwork.

Our A2Z Art Program aims to introduce our students to the creative world of arts through the understanding of cultures, histories and styles, building and enhancing their creative thinking, confidence, patience and self-discipline.

Our program focuses on stimulating children’s imagination and observation, improving their creative thinking and ability to freely express themselves through visual art in a fun and enjoyable way. Children will learn the correct techniques in the art of drawing, sketching and colour etc by our highly experienced art instructor.

Have fun with our variety of different workshops during the school holidays, led by our art instructor, Mr David Wong.

Our holiday sketching workshop is recommended for kids aged 6 -15. In this workshop, kids will learn key art skills, by drawing set topics (e.g animation, animals and still objects etc).

At times we are so busy with our everyday life, we rarely get to slow down to appreciate the people and everything we have around us. Ordinary things can bring out the most extraordinary experience.

Come along to our 3 days experience (x 2 hours) of creative still life drawing workshop, where your child explores the uses of paint, pencils, pastels, collage, clay and more. In this workshop your child will learn still life techniques through:

  • sketching and shading
  • tone use and colour
  • lighting and composition
  • graphing
  • painting

Our 3 days holiday workshops are suited for all ages and experience;
